Footsore Arab Heavy Cavalry

Some more goodies from Footsore Miniatures that I painted recently.
These are from their Armies of the Caliphates range. There was quite a lot of work in these, not just because of having to paint the horses as well, but mainly because they are such are colourful bunch. Some illustrations of Arab forces have a multitude of patterns and colours - enough to keep a painter busy for ages on a few models. I've gone for a variety of colours and not as much detailed pattern- the banners & shield decals will make up for that.
My customer wanted each cavalryman to have a splendid banner waving from their spears, and supplied some Little Big Men Studios banners for this. Most of the shields have been left white because he wanted to put his own shield decals on, as well as do the basing.
I'm pleased with how they turned out, particularly the skin tones, which look about right to my eyes.
I hope you like them :-)
