Command Figures & Group Shot of Connaught Rangers


 G'day all!
This is the last of the Connaught Rangers pictures. You may notice the distinct difference in appearance between the Command figures and the "Rank & File". I have tried to give the command group a brighter & less shabby look to them, so as to provide an interesting contrast.
I hope you like them.









 The plan is to post some pictures of some interesting characters from the time of Queen Anne next....there will be some salty sea dogs amongst them ;-)

  2. Amazing work John, I could be wrong, but I thought British infantry officers had white turn backs?

    1. Hi Dan.
      Yes, there appears to be some discrepancy in some of the illustrations I have seen for the 88th Regiment. I checked with my customer, and he was happy to go with the yellow turnbacks for all ranks.

    1. Thanks Stephen -Don't be so sure about the eyesight, I have to wear headband magnifying lenses in addition to my reading glasses for most of my painting these days :-)
