The Red Knights!

A brief interlude from the nautical theme...
Three sets of knights from Curteys range of 28mm Tournament Knights. Each set has sheets of decals for shields, horses & tabards. Some of the tabards I painted freehand as the decals were just too fiddly to apply due to crossbelts & creases. My friend Barrie is doing his own basing for these.

All the best,

John.

    1. Ta Bro! Did you notice the one very silly K-nigit that has a kettle hat for jousting instead of a full face helm...it will end in tears I daresay.

  4. Cracking work! (I love decals but they always make me nervous when I have to apply them...)

    1. Thanks Curt. Yes these decals are tricky to work with over the sides of the horses, even with plenty of decal softener - straightforward on the shields though.

  5. Hi, I just bought this series of miniatures, and the lances supplied are just straight metal rods. I was hoping you could give some tips on how you sculpted your lances?

    1. I didn't sculpt them Tim, that's how they came to me via my client. As far as I know that was how they were meant to be supplied as part of the tournament knights set from Curteys Miniatures. I think they may have used some of the same figures for other medieval sets, perhaps without these jousting lances?

17th Century Characters...mostly

Here are some 17th Century character miniatures I finished recently.  28mm metal, mostly from Wargamer Poland: https://sklep.wargamer.pl/gb...
