A step back into the 17th Century - ECW/30YW
I finished this project recently for an Australian collector, it was great fun! The miniatures are all from Warlord Games Pike & Shotte range, and very splendid the sculpts are too. I particularly enjoyed painting King Charles & Cromwell. I posted some videos on Youtube about my progress if you're interested in checking those out.
All the best,
John.

Superb work John! Love 'em.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris, great to hear from you and I really appreciate your encouraging words!
DeleteWonderful! Fabulous details, very expressive faces...
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them Phil.
DeleteSimply stunning as usual, and I really admire your use of yellow John.
ReplyDeleteIt is one colour I try to avoid as, no matter what brand I try, it always seems to take me at least three runs over the same territory to obtain any semblance of depth.
The artillery pieces also look superb.
Hi Lawrence, cheers for the kind words.
DeleteI find the key with yellow is to start with a base colour like an ochre or brown before applying the yellow itself.
More than fantastic work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michał, I enjoyed painting them :-)
DeleteStunning work there John!
ReplyDeleteCheers Rodger, glad you liked it!
DeleteAh, you've done a fine job on the puff and slash. Your Cromwell is particularly fine - irascible and warty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Curt. I put a lot of work into Cromwell & Charles.
