I agree with you, as to the solid resin underneath models. Not my thing. However, the work you did on the M5 was fantastic. I do have some Black Dog product for other models and I feel it is first rate. So is your work. Looking forward to following your blog.

MitchAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12299213905466415790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5162584379598890821.post-29751144520523949712015-11-23T08:59:33.563+11:002015-11-23T08:59:33.563+11:00Hi Mitchel. The MG on the Staghound was probably j...Hi Mitchel. The MG on the Staghound was probably just a length of metal rod (like a paper-clip), which was glued into a small hole I drilled.
The RTR M5 is pretty good, but you have to bear in mind that I added a lot of after-market stowage from Black Dog to improve the overall appearance. If you were collecting mobile infantry for an armoured division I would probably go for the PSC half-tracks. This is the only M5 that I have, I didn't really want a whole box full.

I don't like the solid resin underneath the RTR vehicles - it could be removed with a dremel type tool if you wanted. The Blitzkrieg stuff was excellent, but it looks like they have switched to other scales now. Also worth considering the Britannia resin range sold by Grubby Tanks. I really like the PSC Universal Carriers too. As far as scale goes, all these seem to mix in rather well.Jacksarge Paintinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09859137774361915594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5162584379598890821.post-65213368566183009192015-11-23T04:25:00.725+11:002015-11-23T04:25:00.725+11:00Hi John. My only concern in the lack of the machine gun modeled on the hull. You mentioned you added one. Can you tell me how and from where you got the part?

Also, how do you like the RTR M5? Looks like a great model.

Lastly, from a scale comparison, how do these resin models like RTR and Blitzkrieg compare to the PSC or other manufacturers?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12299213905466415790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5162584379598890821.post-22330335418827967032012-09-07T09:17:32.031+10:002012-09-07T09:17:32.031+10:00Thanks mate, glad you like it.

The cheeky Staghound actually tried a couple of shots at the Panther, but in the end a Churchill took out the Panther with a shot in the flank!Jacksarge Paintinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09859137774361915594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5162584379598890821.post-5374282406807205022012-09-07T05:50:50.166+10:002012-09-07T05:50:50.166+10:00A shot from a Panther? From all of the pictures I have seen, what has impressed me about the Blitzkreig Miniatures pieces is the level of all round detail they have achieved with a small number of parts, without the inconvenience of a moulded on base. And very nicely finished too!

Cheers, DaveDaveMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05707036473168150957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5162584379598890821.post-27961023704920693062012-09-05T21:06:31.313+10:002012-09-05T21:06:31.313+10:00I'm glad you think it looks ok, I thought it m...I'm glad you think it looks ok, I thought it might have been too grotty.Jacksarge Paintinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09859137774361915594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5162584379598890821.post-16582444547655549902012-09-05T21:04:50.544+10:002012-09-05T21:04:50.544+10:00Thanks Dan.
