British Communication Build

These are my efforts for The Guild Communication Build :

  1. A Britannia Resin and Metal British Bedford QLR (Radio Truck).
  2. An AB British Despatch rider.
  3. A Battlefield British Commando radio operator.
Only modifications are the addition of an aerial on Commando's wireless set, and some work with plasticard to create a place for the weight disc to go on the QLR.

  1. Beautiful work.

Must get me a dispatch rider - my grandfather was a dispatch rider for NZ 2DIV in Italy.

    1. Thanks mate.
The AB riders are brilliant, I've still got another one to paint up yet.
Not sure if there are any in plastic?

    1. Cheers FF. I reckon the faces have alot to do with the quality of the original sculpts myself. My faces are done in four stages i)Deep flesh colour for base coat. ii)Wash with Vallejo flesh wash. iii)Go back over with Mid tone flesh, leaving some darker areas in recesses. iv)Highlight with pale flesh- put a highlight on the nose and top of cheek bones.

  5. The only dispatch rider I can think of in plastic is the escort rider in the Airfix RAF recovery set. You get two
