75mm French Artillery. I thought I would post some pictures of the gun sans the crew so it's easier to get a good look at it. I believe the gun is made by NorthStar Figures - originally thought it was a Scarab model, but the configuration was slightly different. I had great fun doing the weathering on this. It was done just using acrylic paint & washes, chipping was done using Vallejo Black Brown applied with a sponge.
More to follow :-)
All the best,
John.

Miniature Wargaming : The Movie
If you missed out the first time, there is now a second Kickstarter for Miniature Wargaming: The Movie. I backed it first time around, and the second KS will now give even more folks an opportunity to tap into this cool project. I've just watched their first official trailer and it looks stonking! The whole project has grown and expanded so much, I'm really looking forward to seeing the final product.

I have finished all the WW1 28mm French that I have been working on for quite some time, and I'm pleased with how they turned out. First up we have a Trench Gun with it's crew:
More to follow :-)
I want to throw in a plug for a new Google+ community that I'm participating in : "Wargaming in the Dark Ages". If you have any interest in the period from 500 to 1066 AD in Europe, please look us up & ask to join. It provides a great opportunity to share battle reports, what you've been painting/building, and much more.
All the best,
John.

Shieldmaidens!
These figures were part of the group of Vikings that I painted several weeks ago HERE , but I didn't get them finished in time for that post. The miniatures are from Stronghold Terrain, HERE:
One wee bugbear for me are shields that do not have a hide covering & are just painted boards. A shield is going to get smashed in quick time without a covering of hide - I'm sure re-enactors could confirm this.
All the best,
John.
