A book I'm reading for painting motivation/research. |
Here's an update on that Stuart that's on the painting desk:
Next post I will let you know about some cool new toys that the postman delivered......
Lovely work John. New toys...Whoo Hoo!
ReplyDeleteWaiting with baited breath mate.
Thanks Paul. New toys not WW2 though ;)
DeleteLovely work Sarge - I thought they were 28mm when I first saw your post.
ReplyDeleteG'day Dux. thanks for you kind words- yes 20mm for my WW2 stuff, the only 28mm figures I have are Arthurians.
DeleteThe commandos are cracking, Sarge. So much nicer in 20mm than the 28mm Warlord commandos I put on my blog last week. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteCheers Michael, nice of you to say so :)
DeleteFantastic work. Which brand would you recommend?
ReplyDeleteLovely Stuart too.
Thanks mate.
DeleteFor lifelike sculpting I recommend AB, but for value for money & reliable quality- Wartime Miniatures, which are cast in Australia.
Wow, hard to believe those are 20mm! Good to see some guys in the leather jerkins as well for variety.
ReplyDeleteThey sure are :)
DeleteYes there seems to be quite a bit of pictorial evidence to show the jerkin was widespread in its use, but you don't see many figures sculpted with them.
looking great John. These Elhiem figs, surely look the part! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Thanos.
DeleteI'm hoping Elhiem might make some more British :)
