Monarch of the Glen...in 28mm

28mm Stag and doe. Miniatures produced by Warbases in the UK. Really enjoyed painting these.
The intention is that they will be "set dressing " for my Dark Ages table, perhaps even an objective marker.

Cheers,

John.

  1. Your painting is fantastic and certainly up to your high standards, but I have to say that the doe's facial sculpt looks more like a dog than a deer?

    1. Thanks Dai. Yes, I think there is something not quite right about the sculpt of the doe, although he has done a cracking job on the stag.

    1. Cheers Pete, I used lots of fine brushstrokes to try and achieve a reasonably naturalistic look to the coats.

  3. Great work! I'm lucky enough to live within reach of the herds in the Peak District here (witnessing two stags fighting during the rut is quite something!), and you've definitely caught the colours, including the difference between the males and does.

    1. That's very encouraging Alan, always good to have comment from someone who has seen the real thing.

17th Century Characters...mostly

Here are some 17th Century character miniatures I finished recently.  28mm metal, mostly from Wargamer Poland: https://sklep.wargamer.pl/gb...
