Warlords!

Elite Anglo-Saxon warriors, thegns & hearthguard, musician & standard bearer. Miniatures from Eureka Miniatures Beowulf range, Blacktree Designs, & Gripping Beast.
I really like the Beowulf range from Eureka, great fun to paint & full of character - those full faced helms are very menacing I reckon. Shields designs are a combination of freehand and decals.

More to be photographed...seven or eight more groups, possibly more if I get them painted :-)

Cheers,
John.

    1. Glad you like 'em Pete. It's still my favourite period to collect, followed by WW2 British.

  6. Yes, these sculpts are pretty bloody good. Wish i'd known about them prior to ordering my Black Tree Thegns.

    Lovely painting as ever.

    1. I think the Eureka Dark Age stuff is not as well known as it deserves to be. Certainly gives my collection a bit of diversity :-)
