Sometimes I part with figures from my collection in order to make room for new "shiny" :-)
I sold this unit of Sub-Roman spearmen in order to raise loot for new figures. New Dark Age figures are winging their way to me from Footsore Miniatures in the UK :-)
I thought I would post some pictures of the unit of spearmen, now on their way to their new home.. They are 28mm Blacktree Designs figures- some are converted from wielding swords to spears.
Cheers,
John.

Orcs! Those nasty servants of Morgoth or Sauron and general troublemakers. This is my first painted unit of 12 using the Oathmark plast...
Thank you sir, very kind as always :-)
ReplyDeleteI find it very difficult to part with figures that I have painted. These are very nice and I really like the shields too. Looking forward to seeing the new stuff.
ReplyDeleteI find that it's the only way I can afford new stuff - unless I get some loot for birthday, Christmas etc.
DeleteDoesn't bother me too much parting with figures, I guess I kind of do that all the time when I'm doing commissions :-)
Love the shields, fantastic colors!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil, I was happy with how they turned out.
DeleteSomebody is very lucky to have those in their collection.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Pete.
Nice of you to say so Pete. Gone to a fellow Aussie wargamer.
DeleteGreat work, Jack!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sergiuss :-)
DeleteI'd find it very hard to part with figures such as these!
ReplyDeleteHehe, fair enough :-) But...it has allowed me to turn 8 painted & based figures into about 24 shiny new ones ;-)
DeleteJust trying to make my hobby pay for itself.
The buyer is a lucky man
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark.
