Thought I'd show you the prize I received from Dan Dunbar . I have already posted the commandos he converted for me, although since then I have retouched the paintwork a bit on them. What I can show you now is the Centaur he converted for me from a Revell Cromwell kit, plus some photos with my HobbyMaster Centaurs and my complete collection of commandos thus far.
Dan is a brilliant builder & painter of AFVs, it's worth having a trawl on his blog at some of his earlier work.
Thanks Dan- you're a top bloke.
Enjoy the pictures everyone:
And now group shots with the commandos I already had plus the two HobbyMaster Centaurs I picked up at a bargain price from Model Hobbies in the UK.

Orcs! Those nasty servants of Morgoth or Sauron and general troublemakers. This is my first painted unit of 12 using the Oathmark plast...
Now, that's a cool looking commando force. I recon it's the best there is in the hobby at the time being. I like everything about it!
ReplyDeleteGood job (once again) John.
T.
High praise indeed- I can't take all the credit, thanks goes to Dan too. :)
DeleteHi Sarg - good to see a group shot, I'm glad the Centaur matches the other 2 in colour, great looking little group there.
ReplyDeleteCheers mate, glad you're pleased with the overall look.
ReplyDeleteCracking team you have there. Top notch work all around.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them Paul.
DeleteVery nicely painted and presented troops, and the Centaurs (?) are superb. I do wonder: how does one achieve such accuracy with the calibration markings? Decals, or hand painted. If the latter, I take my hat off to a master.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Ion
The calibration markings are decals- Dan said that they were quite difficult to apply.
DeleteWow, great work by Dan and the rest of your forces are looking well, too. Like it!
ReplyDeletethose are some very nice commandos, very nice centeur as well, Dan certainly did a good job on it
ReplyDeleteCheers Gowan, yep Dan does a great job.
DeleteExcellent - very impressive; puts me to shame...
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words Monty- Dan's super tank makes things look better I reckon.
DeleteAbsolutely top notch,
ReplyDeleteCheers Dave, glad you liked 'em.
DeleteGreat to see your Centaur has arrived. Brilliant decal work by Dan. It really looks the business...
ReplyDeleteCheers, Dave
