Another update to my Anglo-Saxon Chronicle....

More Anglo-Saxon warriors. These fellows are of mixed status, some are armed with swords & two wear helms - I'm sure items like that would have been handed down & well looked after, perhaps looted from foes.
These are all 28mm metal miniatures from Gripping Beast. The shields are a mix of freehand and LBMS decals.

    1. Thanks Phil. I was daunted at first by the idea of freehand shields, but I started out with simple designs & it's not as hard as it looks.

    1. Cheers Alan. A lot of the same colours that we use for WW2 uniforms are ideal for the Dark Ages too I've found :-)
